Eighteen year old Brian Kanyi joined Teule Kenya 2014 when he just was 13 years old. At that time, he was in grade eight and his mother could not afford his basic needs. Providing food was a challenge, let alone school fees. Brian's academic future was in jeopardy when Teule intervened. Through our program, Brian was connected to a sponsor.
His sponsor paid for his education and basic needs. Over time, his sponsor mentored and visited him, as well.
Today, Brian is a hardworking, God-fearing young man. He is known for his respectful and obedient attitude. Brian performed well throughout high school and excelled in his national finals. His dream of joining university has come true. In April, Brian received his admission letter at Nairobi University. In September 2019, he will be joining the University to pursue a bachelors degree in architecture
Through child sponsorship, you can help change a child's life, like Brian. Teule is blessed by the partnership of faithful child sponsors. Only 10 out of the 86 children in our program are unsponsored. We would love for all the children in Teule to have a sponsor. If you are interested, the five (5) in primary school can be sponsored for 5000 Ksh ($50) per month per child, or you can support one of the five (5) in secondary school for 7000 Ksh ($70) per month per child.

The first week of each school break, Teule hosts our mentorship week. During mentorship, speakers from different backgrounds come to the home to encourage, inspire, and challenge our children. The April program focused on career development. Our children got to interact with individuals from various fields from engineering to hotel management. We also had an architect, police officers, a veterinarian, a sports coach and a motivational speaker present during the session.
We truly appreciate the mentors for investing their time and talent into the lives of these children. We are also looking for more mentors for our August 2019 program. If you are interested in sharing the story of your life and being an inspiration to the Teule children, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A Day Out
Teen Ranch Kenya graciously invited Teule back to enjoy a day of fun and games. On April 13th all of Teule family - children and caregivers, traveled by bus to the ranch. We all played street hockey, tried the climbing wall and were fed well. We are grateful to Teen Ranch for this priceless gift to our family.
Susan Wamuyuis our new communications and partners coordinator. She comes to Teule with several years of experience in communications and fundraising activities. With a bachelor’s degree in mass communication, Susan plan to use her skills and expertise to establish, maintain and strengthen partner relationships for Teule Kenya.
Great shout out to our new child sponsors Mr&Mrs Dominic for sponsoring Rhoda Wangui and Jenny Ridgels for sponsoring Gladys Wangui
