Anne's story is a beautiful portrayal of patience and perseverance. When Ann joined Teule in 2010, she was just in grade 5. Single and mentally unstable, her mother had no means of supporting Anne and her three siblings. So, they were left under the care of their grandmother.
The grandmother was abusive and neglectful to the children. As the eldest, Ann was forced to beg on the street as a means to feed her younger siblings.
It was on the streets that our social worker noticed Ann. After investigating her case and presenting it to the officials, Ann was placed in Chombo cha Upendo. Joining Teule brought hope to her life. At Teule, Ann found support, care and the opportunity to pursue her education. .
Through the sponsorship program, Anne's sponsor has provided financial and emotional support to her. Ann consideres her sponsor a role model and a mentor. Currently, Anne is in a college program studying hospitality. Upon completing her education, Anne hopes to get a job to help support her family. Through sponsorship, you too can change a child's life.
Divinity Foundation is a private Humanitarian Aid Organization who empowers and offer support to orphaned, abandoned and impoverished children and mothers in selected global regions through healthcare, education and food aid programs. In April, they visited Teule Kenya for a one day medical camp. During the camp, the team performed health check-ups on our children and provided medication to the sick. We are grateful for all they did to enrich the health of our children and community.
Thank you Divinity Foundation!

As part of our self sustainability plan, Teule Kenya has a farm. In addition to the 2.25 acres we farm on our own land, we rent another 3 acre plot. During the month of April, we harvested 20 bags maize and 10 bags beans. Each bag weighs 90kgs (198lbs). This food will feed the children at the home for three months.
We have several sustainability projects that help us provide for the basic needs of our children like the water kiosk, dairy project, and biogas. Many of these projects are in the building phase. With support from our partners, we are able to maintain these projects. To Donate Towards Our Sustainability ProjectsClick here
Kibo Slopes Academy; The Regional Games Winners
During second term, primary schools in Kenya participate in games. Our school (Kibo Slopes Academy) participated in football (soccer), handball, and volleyball for both boys and girls. Nine schools from the Loitokitok community competed at the subcluster level. Our school won 5 out of 6 matches. This qualified 19 of our student athletes to compete at the next level (sub-county).
Congratulations Kibo Slopes Academy and all the schools that participated in this competitions.
